Position Objectives:

To capture, create and share meaningful and timely communications that keep our clients, partners and other stakeholders up to date with ecentre’s programmes, services, events and news. To ensure ecentre’s deliverables are well supported through effective communications and sufficient promotion in order to be successful. To be a voice for our community members by sharing, celebrating and amplifying their good news stories across our networks. This role offers an exciting opportunity to gain access and insights into the entrepreneurial world, and the chance to build out your own network.



  • Create and share content regularly across all ecentre’s marketing channels including newsletters, blogs, social media, print advertising and website updates.

  • Ensure the mission and purpose of ecentre is well communicated and key messaging is consistent across all platforms.

  • Work closely with team members and when required external suppliers such as designers and photographers to ensure all content delivered is accurate, timely and of high quality.

  • Support Management in preparing any content that may be required for internal purposes, such as management reporting.


  • Maintain regular communication and interaction with key community partners across the ecosystem to ensure ecentre remains well connected with a strong network in place.

  • Connect regularly with clients from within our community and share their progress through our marketing channels with case studies, business profile pieces and good news stories.

  • Attend community events to network, capture content and represent ecentre.

  • Collaborate with ecentre teams based in Palmerston North and Wellington when required to share learnings and ensure a cohesive national approach.

Key Values and Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Detailed focused, with a good eye for proofreading.

  • Empathetic, friendly and enjoys connecting with others.

  • Self-motivated with good time management skills

  • Experience in Squarespace and social media preferred.

  • Event planning and management is a plus.

  • An interest in entrepreneurship and startups is desired.
