Sprint Global 2019 members gathered at Fitzroy Lounge in Auckland on March 13 for a Professional Tech Entrepreneurs’ Meetup.
Amongst the entrepreneurs were members of Sprint Global 2019, the course within Massey University’s ecentre which accelerates the garage-to-global journey of startups.
The community of people present building and growing their businesses included entrepreneurs who have successfully raised capital and sold to international markets as well as newbies on Sprint Global.
Abbie O’Rourke of Chippur and Adrian Wills of Trickle talked to those at the venue about the value of Sprint Global and what it can do for businesses.
"It lights a fire; the accountability pushes you forward and gives you momentum," Abbie told the room.
Abbie and Adrian also stressed the networking opportunities that have opened up to them as a result of being part of the programmme.
Chippur is an app-based employee wellbeing programme; Trickle is a beer tracking hardware/ software solution to minimise keg wastage in hospitality.
Round 2 applications for Sprint Global are now open. Taking startups with a validated business model and working product, Sprint Global accelerates their customer acquisition and global expansion by providing access to mentors, sector experts, investors and other resources, heading towards an innovation showcase and international market experience later in the year. Sprint Global is focused on generating revenue through customer acquisition.
